Special Assistance to Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Honorable Comrade Lukeman Olukyode Ahmed, said the governor has carried the youths along, as over 70 percent of his cabinet is constituted by youths as the build up of the 2023 general elections draw close.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Special Adviser made this known to the press in Abuja while receiving the Face Of Nigeria University (FONU Entertainment) award for good governance
According to him, Kwara is glowing as a result of the efforts of the governor, mostly in the area of youth inclusiveness, as he urged all kwarans to ensure that governor Abulrahman is returned for
Hon. Ahmed said that the Kwara State Governor is the first in Nigeria to carry the youth along as majority of his appointees are youths, Cabinet Members, Commissioners
However, Hon. Ahmed added that the youths are the future of Nigeria, hence the need to empower and keep them engaged was paramount.
‘’The Kwara State Governor is the first Governor in Nigeria that has ever carry the youth along, even when you’re talking about appointees, the youth took more than 70% in the cabinet.
“Both Commissioner as even Chairman president, as the youth as taking more than 70% in his cabinet is a youth governor that you know, knows that the youth are the future, the future of quarters or the future of Nigeria’’
“Our State is glowing as a result of the effort and the good governance agenda of the governor. I call on Kwarans to give the Governor maximum support come 2023 so that he can complete and improve on what he has started since 2019,” he said.
On achievements from 2019 till date , Hon. Ahmed stated that the government has created jobs, took the state out of certain poverty level, provides infrastructural facilities, across the 16 Local Government in the state, renovated dilapidated primary schools, built new schools both secondary and tertiary institutions.
“Honestly, the governor has done a lot of great job in making sure that the poverty level Kwara state reduced. Even from one to five Kwara State is approved the poverty alleviation level, we are even above Kano in Poverty alleviation rate.
Apart from poverty alleviation. He has done a lot in terms of infrastructure facilities in kwara state, it cuts across the 16 local government of the state. ‘’
