Former Ondo Commissioner, Ronke Okunsanya, Arrested as Accomplice in NTA General Manager’s Child Abuse Saga

A former Commissioner in Ondo State, Mrs. Ronke Okunsanya, has been arrested by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in Persons and Other Related Offenses (NAPTIP) in Nigeria, in connection with the child

abuse case involving the General Manager of Nigerian Television Authority in Ekiti State, Princess Folashade Bankole.

 

Sharpedgenews.com learned that Mrs. Okunsanya, a one-time commissioner for information, youth and sports in the old Ondo State was nabbed by NAPTIP for harboring the abused 16-year old minor, now said to have been burned and branded with a hot pressing iron by Folashade Bankole, a daughter of the Olubadan of Ibadan.

Princess Bankole is a niece to Ronke Okunsanya, the former commissioner under Commodore Bode George’s administration in Ondo State, who now serves as women leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Ekiti State and the current chair of board of directors of the Ekiti State Broadcasting Service.

Okunsanya, who was first detained at Iyin Ekiti awaiting transfer for further interrogation and possible prosecution in Abuja, allegedly gave her blessings to the serial violations of Bankole’s housemaid, Buky, who was placed in condition of slavery.

Bankole confirmed that her aunt was arrested but  that she did not know why.
