Workers Protest Military Presence at PHCN

Nigeria Electricity Workers Union this Wednesday threatened to envelop the country with a massive black-out should armed soldiers continue to occupy the premises of Power Holding Corporation of Nigeria (PHCN).

Customers who tried to transact business with PHCN ran into locked gates as the sectoral workers vanguard of the company continue to accuse the management of using military tactics over a civil disagreement over pay rise.

The management of PHCN appealed to the workers to understand that there is no military occupation but that the government is trying to keep people and property safe.
