The Media/Publicity Director of the Osunbor Grassroots Solidarity Movement (OGSM) in Nigeria and in the Diaspora, Mr. Matthew Ebatamehi Aramunde, has enjoined its members all over the country and outside Nigeria to
work in harmony to ensure that their principal, Professor Oseriemhen Osunbor, grabs the sole ticket at the Peoples Democratic Party’s primaries slated for the 27th of this month in the Edo State capital.
He made the call during the end of year party organized for the members across the nation and the sub region who converged in Lagos last weekend.
Cataloguing the achievements of the erstwhile Governor, Mr. Aramunde noted that the law lecturer is an intellectual of the highest repute, an unrepentant democrat with proven democratic potentials, as against dictatorship of the left that Edolites are subjected to right now in the State, stressing that what the legal luminary achieved in less than two years speaks volume of the professor emeritus’ desire to effect the much needed change that will benefit all and sundry. He noted that even the incumbent governor will agree that he is merely building on the structures put in place by Prof Osunbor.
He enjoined the members to work assiduously so that Osunbor wins the primaries stressing that it is only victories that will enable him contest the forth-coming gubernatorial election in Edo State.“I am aware as you are that Prof Osunbor has been tried and tested and has been found to have performed well within the two years he spent, he successfully implemented the four cardinal programmes of the great Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) within the same periods and the state is better up for it” he stressed.
Speaking further, he said in Professor Osunbor’s attempt to move the state forward in the spirit of his transformation agenda, the enduring structures which he built are still enduring and are yet to be surpassed by the present administration in the State.
Sounding optimistic that Professor Osunbor will beat other contestants to clinch the sole ticket he said other contestants are spent forces wondering why those who have been in position in times past and couldn’t affect the lives of their people will want as to throw in their hats into a contest they had already lost even before the whistle for the contest is blown. “With the tacit support and co-operation of our members who are PDP card carrying members and are also qualified delegates, it is just a matter of time and Osunbor will be there” a truly elated Aramunde enthused.
