Surveillance Helicopter Crash: Police Boss Pays Condolence Visit to Families of Deceased Cops

THE families of the men of the Nigeria Police who died in the recent crash of the air patrol craft in Jos received on Saturday Muhammed D. Abubakar, the acting police Inspector-General.

Assistant Commissioner for Police Garba Yelwa and CSP Alexander Pwol-Ja were with John Haruna when their helicopter went down in the Jenta Mangoro, Kabong in Jos North local government area of Plateau state on March 14.

Assuring the families that the Police would organize a fitting burial for their departed loved ones, Mr. Abubarkar also said the Police would take over the education of their children.

“This is the first time that we are having this sort of thing in the Nigeria Police. The President is saddened by this event. He sent me to commiserate  with you  on this very unfortunate incident.”

“We love them so much  but God loves them most and may their souls rest in peace.”

“I want to assure you that this administration will not abandon you and it will not abandon your children.”

Of the children, the police boss said “We will stand by you until they become responsible citizens of this country.”

The remains of the four senior police officers who lost their lives in the crash that occurred in Jos, the Plateau State capital, will  be buried on March 23rd.
