How Kayode Fayemi is ‘Looting’ Ekiti State – Former Gov. Oni’s Aide

EKITI STATE governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has been accused of using a company known as Eminent Communications to siphon resources meant for the development of Ekiti State.

 

According to Lere Olayinka, Media aide to former Segun Oni, Fayemi’s campaign poster from 2006 to 2009 was printed by the company.

 

He further stated that the company, Eminent Communication is being paid for those Fayemi’s campaign posters and handbills with Ekiti money.

 

“First, it was N1.2bn Rebranding Job immediately Fayemi assumed office, and now, quarterly “Rebranding campaign that include: Celebrating Ekiti Heroes & Heroines).”

According to him, Fayemi has ordered that N23, 661,943.20 be paid to Eminent Communications Limited quarterly.

“This is the request from Eminent Communications for N23, 661,943.20 (N23.7m) for October – December, 2011”.

The paper according to him was sent to the Governor on October 17, 20111 and he approved the payment that same day as indicated in a document he posted on his facebook wall.

Efforts to get Fayemi’s reaction to the allegation proved abortive as at the time of filling in this report.
