across the country in the face of the current lockdown occasioned by the rampaging coronavirus disease.

Other stakeholders who also got the commendation of the Corporation for their various supportive roles are Security Agencies, National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO), National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) and all other stakeholders across the Downstream value chain of the industry.

The commendation, according to a statement signed by the Corporation’s Group General Manager in charge of Public Affairs, Dr Kennie Obateru, was given by the Managing Director of the NNPC Retail Ltd, Sir Billy Okoye.

Sir Okoye confirmed that all the NNPC retail outlets across the country are wet with sufficient petroleum products and that this was made possible by the sacrificial and diligent services of the tanker drivers assuring that Nigerians do not need to panic.

“Our major responsibility is to ensure that there is fuel supply in our stations. We have enough products at all our storage tanks and at our depots; we also have a large quantity of products in transit to our stations. Nigerians don’t need to panic” Sir. Okoye reassured.

He gave an assurance that the Corporation’s retail outlets will remain open for service to avoid any shock in the supply of petroleum products.

He also thanked state governors for allowing the tanker drivers to move across the states in spite of the prevailing restriction of movement in most states.

Okoye also used the opportunity to commend the NNPC Managing Director Mallam Mele Kyari for his strategic leadership during these challenging times.
