APC Unveils Monthly Magazine

The All Progressives Congress has finally begun publishing a monthly magazine which goes by the name “The Progressives”. It had been in the works for some time.

 

According to the Chairman of the party Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, “THE PROGRESSIVES is out to drive the ideology of the APC as a pro-people party that is focused on reducing corruption to the barest minimum, while also improving the economy through collaboration with state, non-state actors and development partners across the globe as well as secure the lives and property of the citizens.”

Oshiomhole is quite excited about the achievement as he gushes: “the monthly journal offers mouth-watering and irresistible content that will make a reader asks for more.”

 

On his part Lanre Issa-Onilu the National Publicity Secretary of the party who doubles as the publication’s Editor-In-Chief says “This journal is one of the many innovations our party is bringing on board as we seek to professionalise our publicity department as a critical vehicle to drive the APC’s progressive ideology. These innovation communication strategies are being done in conjunction with the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF).

 

Issa-Onilu continues “The Progressives would be published monthly and will be a platform for engagement and information sharing for our member across the country and in diaspora. It will also be a medium of information dissemination to all Nigerians and the international community on progressive strides of our government at the federal level and across the APC- led states. Importantly, this efforts would be geared towards promoting our common identity as party members at our various duty posts.”

 

“It is our objective to use the journal and our weekly television progressives TV series, to mobilise our members towards expressing the full definition of our shared characteristics as members of the executive and legislative arms with progressive worldview and pro-poor policy orientation,” he added.

 

 

The maiden edition, a gloss finish 48-page journal, with the cover story: Two Tailors, Two Cities: the Buhari Effect also carries an interview with the Minister of Transportation Chief Rotimi Amaechi; sections on Women in Politics, Legislative Voyage and State Focus.

It is available both as e-copy and hard copy.
