FG Grounds Foreign Airline for Unauthorized Flight

The federal government on Sunday grounded a United Kingdom based private flight operator for involvement in commercial flights into the country.

 

This act goes against government preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

Making the disclosure in his Twitter page, the Minister of Aviation, Mr. Hadi Sirika, said the illicit act which violates the order put in place since March cannot go unpunished.

Flair Aviation, which is the carrier was licenced only for humanitarian capacity but regrettably was caught conducting commercial flights. This the minister explained is a callous act.

He said: “The craft is impounded, the crew will be questioned and maximum penalty delivered accordingly on tresspasses. It is wrong for the aircraft to try our resolve.
