Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, has said the government had created a N25bn youth fund as part to address EndSARS protests, unemployment and other
associated youth restiveness in the country even as said the fund will be increased to N75 billion in 3 years.
The minister made the disclosure at a stakeholders meeting with the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Mrs. Hadiza Balarabe.
Ahmed also stressed that the fund would be increased to N75bn within a period of three years.
She added that the aim was to support youths to actualise their innovative and entrepreneurial ideas in growing their businesses and becoming self-reliant.
The Kaduna State, Deputy Governor, said the essence of the meeting was to brainstorm towards tackling the security challenges during the #EndSARS protest.
