Ayede Ogbese Traditional Chiefs Begins Indefinite Boycott of Palace

Members of the council of chiefs in Ayede Ogbese town in Akure North Local Government of Ondo State on Monday began an indefinite boycott of the palace to protest the intransigence of a member of the royal family Mr Adetunji Oluyede.

The chairman of the council of chiefs, the Olisa, High chief Femi Fajembimo led his subordinates in removing all paraphernalia of royalty and staged a walkout from the chambers of the palace to protest a patterned insolence and tyranny of some princes in the community led by Adetunji Oluyede.

Adetunjl allegedly came into the palace with one Adeniran Oluyede to mouth vitrioles and outright insults at a kingmaker, the Odopetu of Ayede Ogbese, High chief Oladimeji Abitogun.

According to sources at the palace, chief Abitogun a journalist has initiated efforts aimed at stopping land grab activities of Adetunji and other corrupt chiefs in the community as a result of which attempts were made at his life in the past.  A case related to the issue is still before a Chief magistrate court.  In spite of having been convicted for another animal affair by a law court as well, Adetunji recently connived with one Mr. Stanlly (a.ka.Stainless) to sell a community land, an act that  with reported to the authorities of the kingdom, thus  triggering the latest confrontation with chief Abitogun.

The Divisional police Officer (D.P.O) in Ayede Ogbese, Mr. Samuel Fatola has since invited Adetunji Oluyede.

However, the Chiefs in the Community vowed that they would continue on an indefinite boycott of activities in the palace until the characters parading themselves as princes show remorse and stop behaving like tyrants in prep.
