Chika Natives, others appeal to FCTA, AMAC for urgent need of Community School

Natives of Chika and its neighbouring communities of Aleiyita, Galadimawa, Piwoyi and Zhidu are appealing to FCT minister of state Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu for an urgent intervention of Community Senior Secondary school and other social amenities in the area.

In a combined statement by the President Abuja Original Inhabitants Youth Empowerment Organization AOIYEO Commandant Isaac David, and the Secretary General, Mr Adamu Umar, stated that the communities had reached out to organisation to appeal to the FCTA on their behalf.

“The communities reached out to us as a platform, to engage the authorities on their pressing need for a Sommunity Senior Secondary school.

“As a demonstration of utmost good conscience, the community have obtained three (3) hectares of land for this purpose as their own down contribution. Financially, the community is willing to provide support.

“Equally, several volunteers ranging from builders, supplies, architects and artisans within the communities have pledge to provide the needed professional and support services all in effort to birth a Community Senior Secondary School for the vast population that abound there.

“Our advocacy for access to basic education for the people demands that attention is given to this and needed actions taken.

“There is no such school nearby and therefore students are at very high risk of molestation, kidnapping, rape, poor supervision and to cap it all, it puts further economic strain on the parents and family,” he stated.

The youth president also, appealed to AMAC Chairman to as matter of public important intervene on the lingering issues. (NAN)
