Likeminds All-Stars FC Kuje Shear Spoils With Allieta All-Stars

Likeminds All Stars Football Club in Kuje Area Council FCT, a veteran football/social club, on Saturday drew 2-2 in it first leg at the 2022 Abuja Veterans Football League at the Package B, M.K.O Stadium Abuja.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that twelve teams are participating in the 2022 Abuja Veterans Football League Competition in Abuja.

The first goal from Orji Okam in the 10th minute of the game kept Likeminds players in charge of the game.

Alieta all stars, however bounced back and equalised in the 25th minutes when they took advantage of an overlapping midfield of Likeminds. 

But Likeminds All-stars scored 3 minutes into the second half through Okam who smashed back of the net after a beautiful contest from 18 yards box to give them a 2-1 lead.

Okam, the leading goal scorer of the tournament with 2 goals also missed several chances of scoring more goals for his team. 

An early substitution from Likeminds All-stars that seemed not necessary made Alieta All-Stars get their equaliser at the 18th minutes into the second half and it ended 2-2.

Mr Mohammed Momoh, President of Likeminds All-stars told NAN that his players missed several chances of scoring goals adding that the team will win their next match. 

Momoh also appreciated the club management and Likeminds members for giving the players all the necesary support to ensure a good outing. 

NAN reports that Likeminds All-stars will confront U.S.F All-stars in their second encounter in the 2022 Abuja Veterans Football League Competition. (NAN)
