Following the escalation of the Corona Virus Disease in the country, Nigeria’s foremost oil company Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC)has scaled down its services.
In a directive signed by the Group Managing Director, Mallam Mele Kyari, all non-management staff are to work from home effective Tuesday, March 24,2020.
All the corporation’s Strategic Business Units are to activate their business continuity plans to ensure minimum disruption of their operations while protecting staff from the rampaging scourge.
In a related development, the Corporation has condoled with the family of Engineer Suleman Achimugu,a former Managing Director of the Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC) who died from the Corona Virus Disease on Monday,23 March 2020.
Achimugu who retired from the company in 2009 is the first Nigerian to die of the disease within the country.
