The Tadanyigbes Family recently held its first family reunion at the family house in Abaji Area Council, FCT, and called on the entire members to be united and love one another to help foster peace and development of the family in particular and the nation at large.
Speaking during the occasion, Uncle Dogara Tadanyigbe read the family history and revealed that the head of the family, late Tadanyigbe Haruna Tazowo hailed from GUSA a small village near Chikara Kasuwa in Kogi State.
The family history as narrated by Uncle Markus and Asibi Kolo, stated that he was a successful farmer and later a trader who was liked by his customers and the neighboring villages.
When his father died, Yakwo took him from Gusa to Yewuti where he met and married Yewu ya as a student of Gbagyi Bible School at Diko.
Late Tadanyigbe Haruna Tazowo had a polygamous home, however, he never had two or more wives at a time. He married another as the other left.
He got his first child Asibi Tadanyigbe with first wife. Asibi got married to Rev. Kolo and had six (6) children, namely; Abila, Jonathan, Deborah, Murna, Muradi and Salomi.
His Second child Tazowo was the only child of his second marriage. Tazowo had seven (7) children with his wife, namely; Mary, David, Hassan, Margaret, Phoebe, Hannatu, Ephraim and Musa.
Tazowo also took Zaka his niece in.
His third marriage to Yewu ya produced one child, Yewu in 1957 in Diko, present Niger state.
His fourth and last marriage to Kpajeshi was blessed with eight (8) children, namely; Markus, Kande, Dauda, Thomas, Danlami, Dogara, Rifkatu and Andrew.
The extended family on both paternal and maternal side comprised of his cousins Azhin, Shanyipe, Bashada, Yakwo, Yewuti, Tadnayi Abaji and Bazhi Chikara.
