The Chairman of the Presidential Election Petition Court, Justice Haruna Tsammani, has dismissed the application for live coverage of court proceedings
At a court proceeding in Abuja on Monday, Justice Tsammani rejected the application made by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) for live coverage of the daily court proceedings on the case they have brought against President-elect Bola Tinubu.
Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate, filed the initial application on May 8, with Peter Obi and the LP later following suit with a similar request.
Tinubu opposed the live broadcast application a week later, calling it an abuse of court process.
The judge ruled that the applications lacked merit.
