Newly sworn in Niger Gov. Marks Police station For Demolition

During his inauguration speech at the trade fair complex in Minna, the Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Bago, stated that the Chanchaga police station in Minna will be demolished.

He said one his priority as governor is to provide portable drinkable water for his people.

Bago expressed concerns about the police station obstructing the water pipeline.

“Priority will be given to portable drinking water, as we leave this venue, we have a police station sitting on our water pipeline, we will mark it for demolition because we must provide portable drinking water for our people”.

He also pledged to uphold the constitutional principle of security to protect lives and property.

He reassured the public of his administration’s commitment to tackling insecurity in the state with the intensity and urgency it deserves

Bago did not provide a specific date for the demolition.
