The CEO Emovworho logistics limited, Comrade Austin obule Emovworho, has called on the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to understand, tolerate and accept one another’s differences to promote peace in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Administration.
Emovworho, who made the call in a press statement to commemorate World Fathers Day celebration, said CAN is saddled with the responsibility of promoting innovative value-based approach to peace building in the country.
He called on CAN to wake up to their responsibilities and regard themselves as an instrument of peace for the development of the country.
Quoting from the scripture Romans 13:1 – Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
“Jeremiah 29:7 – Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.
“Timothy 2:1-2. “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
“1Peter 2:17 – Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.
“As Christians, we are to live in a fine balance; standing for that which is true while seeking unity amongst ourselves whenever possible, standing firm in the faith while showing grace to those who do not, holding our leaders accountable while praying for their wisdom and well-being.
“We are to learn from the words of Ezekiel 22:30, “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.”
“We are to be those who stand in the gap, who lift up our nation with all it favors and faults before the throne of God, and pray that He continues to work in our midst,” Emovworho quoted.
The CEO also called on Nigerian youths to wake up to their responsibilities and get involved in politics, if they want to see positive changes in the country, as the future of the nation depends on them.
He noted that the exemplary performance of the Tinubu political family in Lagos State since 1999 is enough reason to not only support Tinubu’s leadership but to make sure his administration succeed.
Howevever, he added that a situation whereby youths do not show interest in the country’s electoral process would mean conceding their birthrights to politicians, whose policies may not reflect the collective objective of the populace, especially the young Nigerians.
