The CityBoy Movement commends president Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Mr Bitrus Lawrence Garki as mandate Secretary Area Council Services of the Federal Capital Territory Administration.
Mr. Favour Abayomi the leader of the movement, in a statement appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for considering Mr Lawrence for this appointment and assures the President that the youth who campaigned and voted for him at the Presidential election will not take this appointment with levity.

He stated that Mr Lawrence appointment is well deserved and predicated on his efforts and commitment to the Asiwaju Presidency during the electioneering campaign.
The spoke person of the movement, Mr Idris Jibril described Mr Bitrus Lawrence Garki as an astute and dogged grassroot mobilizer, civil libertarian, youth activist, and an ambassador of good Governance.
He appreciated the Honorable Minister of FCT, His Excellency Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for considering Mr Lawrence worthy of this appointment amongst others. He equally appreciated Honorable Zaphaniah Jisalo, the Honorable Minister of Special Duties for being a trailblazer amongst indigenous people as their first representative at the Federal executive council.
The Movement also extends its gratitude to Mr Seyi Tinubu for his commitment to the cause of the youth in Nigeria. His stewardship of the youth activities before, during and after the electioneering campaign is worthy of emulation and will further breed competent and capable young leaders across the country.
Mr Lawrence’s appointment was announced yesterday 5th September 2023 as the Mandate Secretary Area Council Services amongst Seven others on a four years tenure by the Presidency.
As the youngest Mandate Secretary ever appointed, Mr Lawrence is coming in with a wealth of experience from the Private sector as the co-founder of the CAN group, an IT, Media and real estate establishment.
Mr Lawrence has Distinguished himself as an advocate of the indigenous people of the FCT, a youth activist, grassroot politician, and a developmentalist whose grassroot engagement contributed immensely to the victory of the APC at the 2023 General Election.
