NBM of Africa Abuja Zone, an NGO has donated Educational relieve materials such as Books, reading Desk and cash donation to Junior Secondary School, Passo in Gwagwalada Area Council, FCT, for Educational Development of the community.
The representative of the Abuja zone in Gwagwalada, Mr Alex Nonso, said the donation was a way to give back to the society in an attempt to cushion the present economic situation of the grassroot people.
Mr Chukwudi Godian the Group’s president of Abuja zone represented by Mr. Jamil Maina the Sub zonal Coordinator said education is the bedrock of any society, saying that it is their way of giving back and supporting the pupils to become better leaders tomorrow.
According to him, the group has an unwavering passion to improve the quality of lives of children and and the less privileged living in vulnerable conditions in the country.
He said the commitment had brought hope, happiness and light to thousands of Nigerians through programmes which focused on education, empowerment, capacity building and psychosocial development, among other interventions.
However, he, maintained that one of the major drivers of sound and quality education in every society is conducive environment for learning and good educational materials.
“This donation is geared towards aiding learning as well as to equip the students compete favourably in our digitally advancing world.
“All things being equal we could provide more and we have a couple of things we can do to support the schools because we have been doing a lot of interventions in schools,” he said.
The Gwagwalada sub zonal Coordinator, Mr Jamil Maina and other Excos members took turn to lecture the students on the need to abstain and shun Cultism, Examination, malpractices, Fraud and prostitution amongst other societal vices.
The Teachers, students and on-lookers applauded the positive efforts of the NBM of Africa, Abuja zonal team and encouraged other good willing organizations and individuals to emulate the good gestures of selfless services to the society.
