Nasarawa lawmaker, Hon Gude pays WAEC fees for over 100 students, empowered 10 youths with different skills.

Member representing Uke/Karshi constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon Musa Saidu Gude, has paid West African Examination Council (WAEC) registration fees for over 100 students of his constituency.

The Lawmaker also distributed 25 kg of 400 bags of rice to Christians of his constituency to enable them celebrate Christmas with smile in their faces.

Hon Gude, the Chairman House Committee on NUDB disclosed this while disbursing the WAEC fees to the students today.

He said that he has decided to pay the WAEC fees in order to reduce the burden on their parents and guardians.

” I have given N36000 each to over 100 students of my constituency for WAEC registration, I earmarked N5million for that purpose

” This is part of my commitment to improve on the standard of education in my constituency and the state at large.

” I have also distributed 400 bags of 25 kg of rice to Christians to enable them celebrate Christmas with joy,” he said,

” I have also sponsored 10 youths for different skills at Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational Central Lafia and they have just graduated ” He added.

Hon Gude urged the students to take their studies with seriousness in order to excel in their academic pursuits.

He also urged the beneficiaries of the rice not to sell them but use for the purpose they are meant for.

The lawmaker further enjoined the people of his constituency to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and co-exist peacefully for development to thrive.

Besides, he disclosed that he has empowered 10 youths with different skills at Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Technology Institute Lafia.

It would be reported that some of the beneficiaries, who spoke appreciated the lawmaker for the gesture and prayed God to bless him abundantly.
