Stop Parading Yourself As One Of Us; You’re Not From Our Family, Olugbesan Family Staholders Disown Gbolarunmi

Stakeholders that comprise of legitimate members of Olugbesan family both home and in the Diaspora have cautioned the former deputy Governor of Oyo state, Mr Hazeem Gbolarunmi to stop parading himself as legitimate member of Olugbesan family.

The stakeholders while responding to a statement credited to Gbolarunmi where he claimed that he doesn’t know the legitimate family members, said that the former deputy Governor should be the one to henceforth desist from calling himself a member of the family not to talk of parading himself as the head of the family.

“We all know ourselves at Olugbesan family. Time has come now for us to put a stop to this impersonation and identity theft. You can continue to parade yourself as a legitimate member of our family when we know and have historical evidence that you’re not. It was one Alhaji Gaizah that brought you to our compound. Few elders in the family were prevailed upon to approve you as member of the Olugbesan family so that you could become the deputy to late Alao Akala then. You were equally made Mogaji of the family thereafter. Rather, than being grateful for such rare privilege and knowing fully well that you’re not from our family, you decided to embark to campaign of calumny to deconstruct our history. You even sold our ancestral land and converted the proceeds to your personal use. We have all the evidences to that effect.”

The stakeholders added that no amount of lies, threat and intimidation from Gbolarunmi will bend the decision of the family.

“Your divide and rule tactic has failed. The family is now united as one. For the first time in the history of Olugbesan family, we are united to send usurper back to Abeokuta where he came from.”

We are equally calling on Mr. Hazeem Gbolarunmi, to refrain from selling or having anything to do with Olugbesan family properties.”

“We are aware that you’re using one Femi Adeoye (a.k.a Femi Baale, Alfa Leke and others to encroach on our land at Olugbesan village. As a family we have taken the necessary legitimate action to put a stop to this. We want to state here categorically that anyone who does business with these people is doing so at his or her own risk.

“We equally want to inform Mr Gbolarunmi that the family will legally resist any further attempts to sell any portion of its land, whether at Olugbesan’s village or elsewhere in the state.”

The stakeholders who signed the press release include: Alhaja Abibat Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Alhaji Gani Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Lookman Durosomo Olugbesan, Alhaja Shadia Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Ismaila Durosomo, Labisi Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Nurudeen Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Sherifat Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Olatubosun Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Morufu Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Kabiru Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Olatunji Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Omobonike Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Ganiyat Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Modinat Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Kuburat Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Oloye Taofeek Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Hakeebu Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Morufat Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Rukayat Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Isiaka Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Kamorudeen Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Alfa Abass Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Taofeek Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Fatai Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Kehinde Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Ladosu Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Kafayat Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Afeeeez Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Rasaki Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Hakeem Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan, Dauda Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan and Kaosara Durosomo Labisi Olugbesan.
