Purple Dove Foundation donates gift items to indigent patients at UATH 

Purple Dove Foundation, an NGO, at the weekend donated gift items and cash donations to over 100 indigent patients worth N3.5million at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH), Gwagwalada Abuja, to help cushion the hardship faced in the country. 

The Chairman/CEO, of the Foundation, Princess Amara Ifechuckwu, during the donation said it was part of the organizations efforts to give back to the society by putting a smile on the faces of the less privileged in the society that they are not forgotten. 

The Team leader, Mr. Segun David, said the foundation’s team generously presented gifts and cash to the indigent patients to help ease their financial burdens and brightening their days for a better and healthy living. 

Sepecifically, an orphan received the sum of N13, 000. While Mrs. Ogechi Eze received the sum of N20,000. Hajiya Mariam received N10, 000 and other patient equally received N15, 000 respectively.

The gift items donated comprised of bathing soaps, toiletries, detols, tissue and detergents. 

However, the foundation added fun to their visit by bringing three lively and colourful games to put a smile and laughter on faces of the patients and kids in the hospital. 

Miss Murdiya Abdulwahab, a Primary four pupil came first and went home with N15, 000 cash prize and gift, while 2nd  and 3rd positions went home with N10, 000 respectively.

On the second segment of the game, Miss Success Edet came 1st and won a Holy Bible and N10,000 cash prize, while Miss Murdiya Abdulwahab came 2nd who received a gift with N10,000 and a boy amongst them took 3rd position who received a gift item.

The Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Prof. Bissallah Ahmed Ekele commemded the foundation for their kind gesture and generosity, while calling on other well meaning Nigerians to emulate them. 

The CMD, who was represented by the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Sani Sulieman, said their selfless act has touched the lives of the indigent patients and staff of the hospital, while urging them to continue providing care and love to people. 

“We extend our sincere appreciation to the Purple Dove foundation for their generosity, kind gesture, thoughtfulness and commitment to caring for humanity,” he said.
