Abuja, The Uniccon Group of Companies, a global leader in Afrocentric technology solutions, has partnered Gombe Government on digital technology to boost the state’s economy.

The Chairman of Uniccon Group, Dr Chuks Ekweme, made this known in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday.

Ekweme said the Deputy Governor of Gombe State, Dr Manassah Jatau, reiterated the state government’s commitment to modernising its systems and addressing developmental challenges through innovative solutions.

Jatau tasked the group to craft a comprehensive strategy tailored to Gombe’s unique needs, emphasising the importance of inclusive solutions that span all sectors of the state’s economy.

He said that Gombe’s abundant natural resources, including fertile lands and skilled workforce, remain underutilised and called on Uniccon group to help the state to fully harness these assets.

“We are eager to move away from analogue methods that have slowed our progress. Technology will be key in meeting the needs of our growing population and positioning Gombe to compete on a global scale,” he said.

In response, Mr Mohammed Abubakar, Uniccon Group’s Director-General of Due Process, commended Gombe State Government’s forward-thinking approach to digital transformation.

“This partnership has the potential to place Gombe on the global digital technology map, creating job opportunities, enhancing revenue generation, and setting new standards for governance,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ekweme said that the discussions, which form part of Uniccon Group’s broader mission to drive innovation across Africa, focused on integrating digital tools to enhance governance.

He said that the discussions would also boost operational efficiency, and unlock the untapped potential of the state.

He said the group sees this collaboration as a pivotal step in driving technological innovation across Nigeria’s Northeast region by leveraging digital solutions.

“This partnership aims to address key challenges, create employment opportunities, and foster sustainable economic development in Gombe State.

“Our mission is to bridge developmental gap and equip the state with tools for sustainable growth.

“From streamlining revenue collection to introducing cutting-edge tools for various sectors, we are committed to helping Gombe achieve its digital transformation goals.

“This initiative underscores Uniccon Group’s commitment to empowering African communities through technology and aligns with its vision of creating solutions that are impactful, scalable, and sustainable,” he said.
