Tech firm to offer digital training to 100 youths

Chedaro, a technology development and consulting company says it will offer a 90-day scholarship programme to empower 100 Nigerian youths with digital skills on various courses.

The company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Victor Uno, who disclosed this on Tuesday at a conference in Abuja, said the programme, under the “Equip by Chedaro” initiative, scheduled to be commenced on Feb.10, 2025.

Uno said the programme was designed to empower young people with skills in emerging technologies to help them thrive and contribute to the growth of digital economy in Nigeria and Africa.

He said that the scholarship programme would offer young individuals access to high-quality training in various demanding areas, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital marketing, web development, block chain among others.

He said that Chedero’s initiative sought to create a ripple effect to inspire participants to become change makers in their communities and industries with a strong commitment to nurturing talent and fostering innovation.

“This ground breaking programme aims to contribute to the growth of the digital economy in Africa by equipping participants with the tools and knowledge to excel as the next generation of digital leaders.

“Our goal is to provide young people with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the digital economy. This programme is a step towards building a future where talent and opportunity meet.”

Uno said, “the programme included Expert-Led Training that involves courses delivered by industry professionals and mentors, Hands-On Projects: Real-world projects designed to provide practical experience.

“Others are Networking Opportunities: Connections with peers, industry leaders, and potential employers Certification: Recognised certifications to validate participants’ expertise accordingly.’’

He noted that applications for the scholarship are now open and interested candidates can apply via https://www.chedaro.com/equip-by-chedaro-scholarship. Spots are limited, so early applications are encouraged.
