REPORTS coming in from Maiduguri, in the north eastern state of Borno say that a suicide attack targeted the palace of the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Umar Garbai Abba Kyari afternoon local time on Friday.
Although the details of the mode of attack are only just forthcoming, witnesses at the scene say the attack occurred just as the Shehu was returning from Friday prayers.
There are no reports yet of fatalities in the attacks. However, Alhaji Lawan Makinta, head of the Galtimari Ward in the city, alongside some children present, was injured.
