Lam Adeshina, Former Oyo Governor, Taken to Hospital in Critical Condition

SHARPEDGENEWS.COM has received the news of the critical indisposition former Oyo Governor Lam Adesina within the last few minutes.

 

Eyewitnesses told sharpedgenews.com that Mr. Lam Adesina, a chieftain of the Action Congress of Nigeria party, was taken away in an ambulance to an unknown hospital location.

There was no news of any previous medical situation before now. A family source said the situation is so precarious that he may be at the verge of death.

Born January 20, 1939, the former governor was a teacher who emerged governor of Oyo State under the banner of the now-defunct Alliance for Democracy, AD, in 1999.

The former governor was once a political associate of the current Oyo Governor Abiola Ajimobi, who successfully ran for senate representing the state in 2003.

After parting ways shortly afterwards, the two men reunited in 2009 under the banner of the Action Congress, which later metamorphosed into the Action Congress of Nigeria under which Governor Ajimobi currently serves as governor.
