A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former gubernatorial candidate, Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao, has congratulated Professor Nentawe Yilwatda on his election as the new National Chairman of the APC.
In a press release from his media office, Alao stated: “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to our newly elected National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda. Your emergence is a breath of fresh air and a pivotal moment for our great party. Your proven integrity, leadership capacity, and history of service give us hope that the APC is poised for greater progress under your watch.”
He added, “However, this victory is not the destination, but the beginning of a great responsibility. There is an urgent need to ensure that internal democracy is entrenched at all levels of the party. Now is the time to heal divisions, resolve internal crises, and bring everyone on board with a sense of justice, fairness, and transparency.”
“As we approach several important bye-elections across the country—particularly the Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election in Oyo State—we must remain deliberate, united, and strategic. Ibadan North is a stronghold that the APC must reclaim, and this begins with credible, inclusive, and transparent primaries.”
“We must also prioritize transparency and fairness in all upcoming primaries nationwide. There should be no imposition or sidelining; only the will of the people must prevail if we are to emerge victorious at the polls.”
I urge you, Mr. Chairman, to hit the ground running. The success of your tenure will be measured not just by the number of elections won, but by the restoration of trust within our party structure and the confidence of the grassroots.”
“Once again, congratulations. May your tenure bring unity, victory, and renewed hope for all progressives.”
“Long live the APC!”
