CP BAKORI HOLDS STRATEGIC MEETING WITH OPERATIONAL AND TACTICAL COMMANDERS OF KANO POLICE COMMAND

The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, SFIPMA, MNIM, MNIPS, MASIS, convened a strategic meeting with Operational and Tactical Commanders of the Command today, Monday, 25th August 2025, at the Command Headquarters in Bompai, Kano. The purpose of the meeting was to review recent achievements, ongoing security operations, intelligence gathering efforts, and community policing initiatives across the State.

  1. During the meeting, CP Bakori expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the unwavering dedication, professionalism, and resilience demonstrated by all Operational and Tactical Commanders in the sustained fight against crime and criminality in Kano State. He acknowledged their invaluable contributions to maintaining peace, reducing crime rates, and fostering a safe environment for all residents and visitors.
  2. The CP further charged the Commanders to remain resolute, vigilant, and proactive in their respective roles. He emphasized the importance of continued synergy with policing stakeholders, robust intelligence gathering and sharing, as well as intensified community engagements—key strategies to sustaining public safety and security in the State.
  3. In line with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, the CP reinforced the need to dominate the public space against crime, ensuring a secure environment conducive to socio-economic development. He also called for enhanced collaboration with other security agencies, community leaders, and stakeholders to address emerging security challenges effectively.
  4. The Kano State Police Command assures the public that security measures will be continuously reviewed and modified to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents. The Command remains committed to transparency, accountability, and proactive engagement with communities to foster a safer Kano State for everyone.
