EFCC Charges Metuh over Destruction of statement

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday arraigned the embattled Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) spokesperson, Olisa Metuh before

the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, over destruction of statement.

He allegedly made an attempt to swallow his statement when asked to append his signature on it. He was arraigned on a seven count charge including money laundering.

He was accused of receiving N400 million from the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki and allegedly making doubtful investment of $2 million.

Olisa Metuh pleaded not guilty. The judge ordered that he be remanded in Kuje prison. Prosecution lawyer, Sylvanus Tahir, urged the court to fix a date for trial. The case was adjourned till January 25, 2016.
