
Leaders of the National Assembly on Tuesday joined party officials and supporters in Jos, the Plateau State capital, to officially welcome Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang into the All Progressives Congress (APC), the largest political party in Africa.
The delegation was led by the Senate President and included the Deputy Senate President, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and other principal lawmakers. Their presence underscored the APC’s commitment to political unity, inclusiveness, and national development.
In a post on his X handle, the Deputy Senate President said, “After our plenary, we went to Jos to join other leaders of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), for the official welcoming of His Excellency, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, into our party.”
At the event, National Assembly leaders highlighted the APC’s vision for inclusive governance and political stability. Supporters and party members thronged the venue to celebrate the governor’s decision, signaling renewed momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Senate President described the occasion as a “historic moment for Plateau State and for the APC,” urging political actors to continue working toward unity and progress across the nation.
