Senate appoints 12 members to work with Reps on Electoral Amendment Act

The Senate Tuesday named 12 members that are to work with the House of Representatives on the proposed Electoral Amendment Act, which has generated criticism in recent weeks.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced the committee members during an emergency plenary session.
Notable appointees include Senators Orji Uzor Kalu and Tahir Mungono.
Meanwhile protesters continued their occupation of the National Assembly on day two of the protest calling for inclusion of real time transmission of election results in the Electoral Act Amendment .
