The Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has passed into law four bills to enhance development across the State.
The bills which were passed this week between Monday and Tuesday include Three private member bills and One executive bill.
According to the Speaker of the House Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, the bills, if finally assented to by Gov. Abdullahi Sule would guarantee development across the State.
The Speaker assured of more laws that will improve on the general well being of the people of the State.
The bills passed into law within this week are A Bill for a Law to Make Provision for the Establishment of the College of Leadership and Entrepreneurship, Toto and for Other Matters Connected Therewith.
The bill, if finally assented to by the Governor was to establish a specialized institution in Toto LG for training in leadership and vocational skills to enable the citizens become self reliance.
The bill is sponsored by member representing Toto/Gadabuke constituency Hon. Muhammed Garba Isimbabi.
The House also passed into law A Bill for a Law to Establish Lafia General Hospital and Other Related Matters Thereto.
Dr. Jatau said that the bill would improve on the health status and wellbeing of the people of the State.
The bill is sponsored by Hon. Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki, member representing Lafia Central constituency.
The House equally passed into law A Bill for a Law to Establish the Nasarawa State Institute for Legislative, Democratic and Strategic Policy Studies, Andaha and Other Matters Connected Thereto.
Jatau said that the bill would strengthen governance, legislative capacity, and policy development in Nasarawa State.
The bill is sponsored by Hon. Larry Ven-Bawa, member representing Akwanga North constituency.
Similarly, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has passed into law
a Bill for a Law to Amend the Nasarawa State Electricity Law 2024 and for Other Matters Connected Therewith.
The Speaker said that the executive bill, if assented to by the Governor would boost electricity and ensure constant power supply in the State.
