We could set for a decisive weekend in the Premier League, with a lot of key fixtures that would determine a lot at both ends of the table.
The standout game will see Manchester United host Aston Villa as the battle for Champions League spots continue.
But before that match on Sunday, there will a couple of important fixtures to look forward to on Saturday.
So, what encounters can we expect upsets?
- Arsenal vs Everton: If Mikel Arteta’s men pick up three points in this game, they would open a 10-point gap ahead of Manchester City. But it might not be an easy and straightforward affair at the Emirates. Arsenal have not been playing well in recent weeks and Everton are one of the league’s best teams away from home. David Moyes’ men also don’t concede a lot from corner kicks.
- West Ham vs Man City: It was a huge surprise to many that City were thrashed 3-0 by Real Madrid in the Champions League last-16 first leg in midweek. Pep Guardiola’s men went into that game as huge favourites, but need to produce a remarkable comeback to remain in the competition. However, before the second leg, they have to recover mentally and see off a resurgent West Ham side.
- Liverpool vs Spurs: Many fans and pundits are predicting that Tottenham will lose heavily to Liverpool on Sunday. And they are well within their right, as Spurs have been dreadful this team and hover dangerously over the relegation zone. However, this is the type of game they can bring a different energy into, as they fight to remain in the English topflight.
