SPEAKER TAJUDEEN CONDEMNS “CRUEL” RAMADAN BLASTS, CALLS FOR UNITY

In a poignant reaction to the tragic bombings that have once again rocked Maiduguri, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives in a city already scarred by years of conflict.

The Speaker described the attacks as a “cruel contradiction” to the sanctity of the holy month of Ramadan—a period dedicated to mercy and devotion—lamenting that no grievance could ever justify such a senseless spilling of blood.

His words underscored a profound sense of grief for the families of Borno State, as he offered prayers for the departed to be granted Aljannah Firdaus and for the injured to find swift healing.

Standing firm against the shadow of terror, Tajudeen emphasized that Nigeria must refuse to succumb to fear or become desensitized to such recurring violence.

TAJUDEEN issued a stirring call for a united front, urging the government, security forces, and the Nigerian citizenry to consolidate their resolve in the fight against insurgency.

By demanding that security agencies intensify their operations and bring the perpetrators of this “evil act” to justice, the Speaker signaled that the nation’s pursuit of lasting peace remains an unshakeable priority.

Looking toward a future beyond the current tragedy, the Speaker reaffirmed his belief in the resilience of the Nigerian spirit, asserting that “light will always overcome darkness.”

He urged the nation to remain vigilant and steadfast, refusing to bow to the intimidation of extremist elements.

As the people of Borno navigate this latest wave of hardship, Tajudeen message serves as both a solemn tribute to the fallen and a strategic mandate for the security apparatus to restore safety and stability to the region.
