There has been plenty of intriguing moments in the Nigeria Women Premier League this June and plenty of individual brilliance on which to shine a light.

Seven players’ stars shone brighter than most, but our team of experts have chosen Bayelsa Queens’ Patience Kalu as the standout player of the month.

The winger, who scored three goals and accounted for two assists in the month in review fended off the challenge of Sarah Ilodubah (Osun Babes), Monday Gift (COD Ladies), Anam Imo (Nasarawa Amazons), Glory Iroka (Rivers Angels), Amirat Adebisi (FC Robo) and Vivian Ikechukwu (Abia Angels) to win the award which is powered by Futbalgalore.com.

Kalu, who is a phobia to defenders produced breathtaking performance against Nasarawa Amazons and Osun Babes.

“It’s an unbelievable achievement and it just shows how the club is doing as well as me. My team mates are putting me into the positions to score the goals, so I am obviously delighted to be named as the player of the month of June,” Kalu said.
