Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari and members of his kitchen cabinet have started to mount pressure on the BBC Hausa in an attempt to prevent the
broadcast of the interview granted by his wife.
Part of the interview was aired on Tuesday, October 11 and in it, the First lady made some comments that have caught the attention of Nigerians.
In the two minutes broadcast which has been widely reported in the media, Aisha is heard saying that her husband, Buhari, has sidelined the people who worked tirelessly for his emergence as the president in the 2015 election while many people who contributed nothing to his victory are the ones benefiting from his government.
