Edo Government Declares October 28 Public Holiday for the Coronation of New Oba of Benin

Thursday October 28 has been declared a public holiday by the government of Edo State to enable the people of the ancient Bini Kingdom (Benin City) in

South-South to join in the celebrations culminating in the coronation of the new monarch.

The Secretary to the state government, professor Julius Ihonvbere said on Tuesday that the public holiday would honour the crown prince, Ambassador Eheneden Erediauwa whose coronation as the Oba of Benin holds on October 28th, 2016 in the hope that the event would be hitch-free.
