Nigeria CAF Confederation Cup representative, Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi, have shown interest to be part of the fourth edition of Gold Cup Pre-Season
Tournament.
The Nigeria’s first pre-season tournament is set to begin on Friday November 25 through December 4, at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode.
Following Supreme Court FC of Abuja, withdrawal from the tournament, the organizers have replaced the Apex Boys with the Nigeria Professional Football League side.
Supreme Court were reported to have withdrew from the tournament due to unwarranted circumstances.
“We have been consulting with all the teams we invited, but Supreme Court won’t be participating due to unwarranted circumstances. We understand the teams’ position and make them sure that in future tournaments we will give them the opportunity to participate.”
“We were unable to resist Wikki Tourists, when they showed interest to be part of the tourney,” Tunde Shamsudeen, the General Coordinator of the tourney said.
