The Executive Chairman of Kwali Area Council, Hon. Nuhu Daniel Kwali, has been honoured with the “Best Performing Local Government Chairman of the Year 2026” award by The Legislative Authority Newspaper/Magazine in recognition of his exemplary leadership, people-centred governance, and unwavering commitment to grassroots development.
In addition to the prestigious title, the Chairman also received a second certificate of recognition for his remarkable contributions to community development and impactful public service.
Presenting the awards, the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of The Legislative Authority Organisation, Amb. Dr. Godwin Thomas Nyitse, commended Hon. Nuhu Daniel Kwali for what he described as an exceptional performance within a short period in office.
He noted that the Chairman has surpassed the expectations of the electorate through visionary leadership, commitment to good governance, and the execution of policies and programmes that are already making meaningful impacts across Kwali Area Council.
According to Amb. Nyitse, the recognition reflects the Chairman’s dedication to accountability, inclusive governance, and the delivery of democratic dividends to the people at the grassroots.
In his acceptance remarks, Hon. Nuhu Daniel Kwali expressed profound appreciation to the organisers for finding him worthy of the honour. He described the awards as a call to greater service and a source of encouragement to continue working tirelessly for the progress and development of Kwali Area Council.
The Chairman dedicated the awards to Almighty God, his wife and children, members of his family, his media team for effectively showcasing the achievements of his administration across various media platforms, and the good people of Kwali Area Council for their unwavering support, trust, and confidence in his leadership.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transparent, accountable, and people-oriented governance, stressing that the recognition would inspire him and his team to intensify efforts towards improving infrastructure, enhancing social services, empowering residents, and implementing sustainable development initiatives that will improve the quality of life of the people.
Hon. Nuhu Daniel Kwali further assured residents that his administration would continue to pursue policies and programmes that promote inclusive growth, economic development, and lasting prosperity throughout Kwali Area Council.
