Zacharias, Former Rep members Sign Unity and development Communique for Idah Federal Constituency

…Pledges monumental gains across Kogi East

In a landmark display of political sportsmanship, Hon. David Idris Zacharias, Chairman of the House Committee on Safety Standards and Regulations and representative of Idah, Ibaji, Igalamela/Odolu, and Ofu Federal Constituency, has convened a historic forum of former and present members of the House of Representatives from his constituency.

The meeting, which held in his office at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja, brought together Hon. Frank Ineke, Hon. J.J. Napoleon Idachaba, Rt. Hon. Ismail Inah Hussain, and Hon. Dr. Emmanuel M. Egwu. At the conclusion of the engagement, all five lawmakers signed a joint communique committing to a new era of collaboration.

The communique outlined three core objectives which are, fostering unity among all constituent in Idah, Igalamela/Odolu, Ibaji, and Ofu; driving accelerated development across the federal constituency; and encouraging collective cooperation among Igalas to ensure a unified voice in national affairs.

Zacharias described the gathering as a homecoming of ideas and a testament to the enduring bond among leaders who have served the constituency at various times. He emphasized that the development of Idah Federal Constituency requires the collective wisdom and experience of all its past and present representatives.

The forum was hailed as a significant step toward ending political fragmentation and building a consensus-driven approach to addressing critical issues such as infrastructure, youth empowerment, and agricultural transformation across the constituency.

In their joint statement, the lawmakers expressed profound gratitude to the people of Idah Federal Constituency, Kogi East, and Kogi State at large for their continued support and trust.

This unprecedented unity initiative signals a new chapter for political leadership in the constituency, demonstrating that service to the people transcends partisan lines and personal ambition.
