Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Wikki Tourists Football Club has pulled out of the 4th edition of Gold Cup Pre-season Tournament
which will begin on November 25 in Ijebu Ode at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium.
The Bauchi-based club who recently replaced Nigeria National League (NNL) outfit, Supreme Court FC withdrew from the Gold Cup tourney due to logistics reasons.
“Every disappointment is a blessing in disguise. But I must be sincere that I felt disappointed, because I would have replaced them with an ambitious NPFL side.”
“Coach Babaganaru called me and apologized but that won’t affect the smooth run of the tournament that i can assure as we’ve replaced them with another team already,” Tunde Shamsudeen, the tournament cordinator told Gold Cup Media.
