The Oyo State Governor of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) New Era, Comrade Bashiru Taofeek Kolawole, has congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, on his 82nd birthday.
In a press statement, Kolawole, popularly known as Man K, also extended congratulations to the monarch on his first anniversary on the throne.
“I want to use this medium on behalf of members of OPC New Era, Oyo State chapter, to congratulate our father, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, on the occasion of his birthday and also on his first anniversary on the throne,” Kolawole said.
Kolawole noted that the monarch’s first year on the throne has brought positive development to the region, praying for the royal father’s continued good health and longevity.
The state coordinator also commended the National President of the OPC New Era, Comrade Razak Arogundade, praising his leadership acumen for driving significant growth within the organisation.
Speaking further, Kolawole recognised the leadership of the Ibadan Security Initiative, specifically praising the group’s head, Chief Musiliu Kehinde Ege, and his deputy, Alhaji Akeem Onaolapo, for their efforts in improving security within Ibadan and its surrounding communities.
As the newly appointed OPC New Era Governor for Oyo State, he urged all members to remain united.
He promised that under his leadership, the group would prioritize the interests of every member through a steadfast commitment to fairness and justice.
Man K praised the State Organising Secretary, Comrade Sarafa Salam, and the entire membership for their unwavering dedication to the association.
