Federal Government has summoned the U.S. ambassador, Stuart Symington in protest against President Donald Trump’s Shithoke remark.
He is summoned by the Nigerian to explain Trump’s statement
The spokesperson for the Ministry of foreign affairs confirmed the meeting will take place today 15 January 2018.
Trump had in a fit lambasted immigrants, stating that they were coming from ‘shithole’ countries, a statement that annoyed many concerned nations and generated serious criticisms from the African Union and others.
Symington is expected to meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama later today.
