National Assembly Joint Committee on Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC is meeting again on the Electoral Act (Amendment) bill which President Muhammadu Buhari declined his assent for the third time recently over what Senator Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly (Senate) called “some errors”.
However, Enang had said the development may not in any way affect the 2019 general elections as the observed draft matters could also be addressed by the National Assembly in a few weeks.
As the committee begins the process of that amendment for the fourth time, its chairmsn, Senator Suleiman Nazif assured Nigerians that they will do all to alley their fears, which have already been expressed in many quarters.
