The Federal government through the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON),
have raised the alarm over the presence of dead bodies of human being packaged as drugs destined from China to Nigeria.
As a result of the ugly development, NIA has moved to alert the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration Control (NAFDAC), Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) and NIPOST on the perceived Chinese drugs fortified with human flesh in the country, as published in a national daily on Friday.
Meanwhile, Mr. Bola Fashina, SON Spokesperson, has confirmed to newsmen that his organization is on the lookout for the drug for testing and confiscation is found.
While the company said to be involved in the illicit act has not been revealed, news report has it that the drug is being manufactured in North Eastern China from babies whose bodies are chopped and grounded into powered, stressing that it was in South Korea that the drugs were first imported into where they were confiscated in September.
According to report, the drugs when taken can boost stamina, cure cancer, diabetes and some other incurable ailments that have defiled treatment.
The South Korean, authorities, Sharpedgenews learnt have insisted that such act remains crime against humanity as the drug on consumption can lead to serious health challenges.
NIA has called on sisters agencies to be on the watch out to monitor the health sector for interrogation, adding: “The Customs Service, NIPOST and other mail delivery services should also step up monitoring of cargoes and packages with drugs imported into the country.”
Recall that Chinese authorities in 2011 officially launched investigations into the production of health boosters made from dead bodies.
