CJN appears at the CCT

 The suspended Chief justice of Nigeria, justice Walter Onnoghen, this morning appears before the Hon. Chairman Umar

Danladi-led Code of Conduct Tribunal.

Embattled CJN appear with his defence lawyer, led by Chief Chris Uche (SAN). The suspended CJN was granted bail on self-recognition after an oral application was made by his defence team.

After the bail application was granted, Chris Uche (SAN), further enjoin the court to adjourn seating to a suitable date after the general elections.

Before the charges were read to the CJN’s defence counsel, Chris Uche urge the court to withdraw the bench warrant that was issued against the embattled CJN by the CCT on Wednesday.

The application was granted and the arrest warrant was withdrawn on the premise that the suspended CJN will be available throughout the duration of his trial.
