President Muhammadu Buhari’s approval rating has slipped by 22.6 percent according to a random opinion poll conducted by NOIPoll.
Assessing President Buhari in a 4 years scorecard published in it’s website on Wednesday 5th, it revealed that the president garnered 63.9 percent between 2015 – 2016 against it’s 41.3 percent it got in May 2019 rating.
NOIPolls insists it has been conducting the polls on a monthly series to evaluate the performance of Nigeria’s sitting president since January 2013.
Using 10 indicators, within the last 4 years, it said President Buhari got 37 percent in agriculture and food security and 36 percent in security which are it’s two highest scores within the period under review.
Buhari in the analyses was scored 13 percent in poverty alleviation, 15 percent in job creation and 16 percent in economic management representing it’s lowest in the indicators.
NOIPolls editors, said: “Following the inauguration of the president for another term of 4 years on May 29, we release figures from our monthly approval rating for the 4 year rating 2015-2019.
“The results revealed that the president’s scorecard was highest in his four year in office with an average of 63.9 percent.”
While spiraling insecurity across the country has become the commonest topic of discussion is in the front burner of policy makers, with fears of Boko Haram, Fulani Herdsmen and kidnapper gain traction on the psyche of Nigerians, yet the poll rated the president as scoring 36 percent.
Former Vice President, Alh. Atiku Abubakar, on Monday raised concerns on the pervasive state of insecurity across the country and the boomerang negative impact on food security and food harvest because of fear Boko Haram and Herdsmen on the farms.
