Samer Zod: Transforming the Nigerian Economy through Modern Architecture

The practice of architecture behaves like a language and builds itself. From the oldest times when it was first manifested, architecture has brought itself up as a tool for expressing itself and has constructed its own means of representation.

During the last two decades, the history of modern architecture has been one of sorting out, developing and transforming possibilities implicit from the beginning.

Modern Architecture means simplicity in form and design. Modern architecture is based on abstraction, which is created by clean lines, basic shapes, and forms. Thus, simple, plain, geometric forms, rectangular shapes, and linear elements make the characteristics of modern architecture.

Samer Zod’s perspective has always been Clean, Simple, elegant is now the new sleek. Too fussy, busy and vulgar is now being termed ancient and complex.

Samer believes that architecture can contribute immensely to a Nation’s process of innovation, culture, and well-being. Born to a family of Builders, Samer believes  that the art and science of design runs in his family and this gave birth to the dream of wanting to be an urban designer.

The world think that technology will solve everything  but neglect one fact that cities are built through creative minds, a broadened perception, and the ability to see with an amazing imagination and creativity.

Good design can have a profound impact on local art and communities, most importantly, the visual perspectives and the ability to conceptualize and understand spatial relationships of architecture elements could amount to a transformed landscape of modernized structures, Samer believes.

Boundaries can be changed and the transformation of that unstructured neighbourhood through improved impeccable designs, perception, amazing imagination and creativity.
