The union says 2000 of it’s disengaged Power Holding Company are yet to be paid their gratuities.

In a media briefing in Lagos, on Wednesday, it said government has failed to implement the resolution reached between it and other stakeholders involved in the negotiation in December 11, last year, which led to the recall of aggrieved staff to work then.

NUEE’s General Secretary, Comrade Joe Ajaero and the Minister of Power rapprochement on the lingering crisis also appeared to have broken down following the absence of the Bureau of Public Enterprise’s (BPE) management on the matter.

Following this controversy, Ajaero, said: “The union stayed back as a display of maturity and stayed back in the office of the Permanent Secretary where another meeting took between the PS and himself.”

While calling on presidency to Wade into the matter, Ajaero, appealed to government to wade into the matter another looming darkness across the country.
